MONTE BRUCIATO RISERVA
CAPRIANO DEL COLLE
ROSSO RISERVA D.O.C.
Grapes: Sangiovese, Marzemino and Merlot.
Vinification: Following a scrupulous selection of the grape brunches the grapes are brought in small crates to the cellar for immediate dissemination and crushing. The must is left in contact with the skins and pips throughout the fermentation process to help extract colour, aromas and structure for a variable period of time (from 10 to 30 days or more) according to the grape’s variety and year’s harvest. The fermentation is conducted at a temperature of approximately 25°C; followed by the separation of the wine from the skin and pips. Subsequently follows an ageing on lees for the whole of the winter period, and afterwards a refinement in barrel for a further year. Before commercialization the wine is refined in bottle in an acclimatized environment for a period of at least 180 days.
Colour: Very intense ruby red with purple tonalities.
Nose: Aromas of violet, cherry, black cherry, blackberry, raspberry and redcurrant, supplemented with a toasted wooden flavour.
Mouth: Impressive the smooth, velvety and tannic elegance of this wine which will keep in bottle for at least a further 2 years
Servicing Temperature: 18°C
